The Bonk Lab Rules v2.8 · Video version 7 Music: Another Game Before Dawn PIP: I have issued the lab spoon a small shield. CLICK: A shield taped to a spoon is a shield taped to a spoon. PIP: Then it is decoration. It still looks important. CLICK: Last time, any piece blocked the hallway. Now we count the hit. COACH: One action buys one attack. Up, down, left or right. PIP: One? The card says attack two. COACH: Water beats Fire. The Sjor is Water. The Hi is Fire. COACH: Check the two elements. The attacker's number goes up one, or down one. CLICK: Attack two. Take one away. One damage. Never below nothing. COACH: Elements change the hit. They never change the shield. CLICK: The spoon is not an attack bonus. COACH: That Hi already swung once this turn. Now a different question. PIP: I would send that Hi again. I cannot. It did not finish the job. COACH: Pip is ahead of me. Leave the target standing, and that piece is done attacking for the turn. CLICK: Name for the file: the Closed Chain. COACH: The Hi on F5 has not attacked. The Sjor has one shield left. COACH: If nobody finishes it, the Sjor heals on its own next turn. COACH: If that Hi hits now, does the Sjor survive? COACH: Take longer if you want. Or watch with me. COACH: Two shields, two bonks, two attackers. The Sjor is off the board. COACH: The first Hi could not finish it. A second attacker could. CLICK: Checked: this defender. Nobody hits back during an attack. CLICK: Sparks burn the Garden Wall. PIP: The Garden Wall drains the Deep End. The Deep End puts out the Sparks. COACH: In rules words: Fire and Lightning beat Plant and Metal. COACH: Plant and Metal beat Water and Shadow. Water and Shadow beat Fire and Lightning. CLICK: We can keep the chart. This is a lab, not a memory test. COACH: Only the defender changes. A Straumr on E5. Same team. One more shield. COACH: The dare. Are both Hi enough? COACH: That is enough for today if you want. COACH: A kill can unlock another attack by that same piece. This is Cleave. Tier one gets at most one attack, tier two gets two, and tier three gets three. Every attack still costs one of your four shared actions. COACH: This Hono is beside two enemy Muju. Its first hit does four against defense three and removes one. That unlocks its second attack. One more action removes the other. Two kills cost two actions. COACH: Now two team actions remain. This Hono has used both its attacks. It may still move, but it cannot attack a third time this turn. COACH: You may move between attacks at the normal cost. If your attack leaves the target on the board, your piece cannot attack again this turn. Even a zero damage hit closes the chain. Another teammate’s later kill cannot reopen it. PIP: The spoon changed no numbers. File it in the drawer. CLICK: Filed. Overruled by the shield that never moves.
